Weekend winners: FIVE Canadian lottery players just woke up $1 million richer

Several lucky lottery players across Canada will wake up to some life-changing news this weekend.

It’s been draw after draw without a big winner, and all eyes were on the massive Lotto Max jackpot worth $75 million. The draw took place on Friday, November 22, and the winning numbers were 04, 06, 09, 21, 40, 42, 43, and bonus 24.

No one won the top prize, but after they matched six of the seven winning numbers and the bonus number, someone from Ontario won the second prize worth $321,264.90.

They weren’t the only Ontarian to win during last night’s draw.

There were 12 Maxmillions prizes up for grabs, and five Canadians are now $1 million richer.

According to PlayNow, one of the winning tickets was sold in Western Canada. However, the others were sold across Ontario. OLG stated that the four winning tickets were sold in Simcoe County, Ottawa, Mississauga, and Toronto, so if you live in the area, you might want to check your ticket.

No one won the Lotto Max Extra worth $500,000 or the Encore prize worth $1 million.

The next draw is set for Tuesday, November 26, and this time, the jackpot is even bigger.

“The Lotto Max jackpot has now reached an eye-popping $80 million because the jackpot cap was increased in September to allow for this new maximum value,” states a release from OLG. “And in addition to the massive jackpot, there are also an estimated 14 Maxmillions prizes up for grabs for the next draw!”
