Viral Grey Cup streaker permanently banned from BC Place

The Toronto Argonauts secured an impressive underdog victory over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the 111th Grey Cup on Sunday, but many fans left the Vancouver event with something else on their mind.

The game at BC Place took an unexpected turn in the fourth quarter when a nude woman evaded security and streaked across the field, earning deafening cheers from the crowd and a few awkward looks from players.

The bold spectator left little to the imagination and ultimately surrendered to authorities after about 30 seconds without attempting to flee further.

However, her antics have resulted in permanent consequences. According to a Tuesday report from TMZ, the now-infamous streaker has been handed a lifetime ban from BC Place.

Unsurprisingly, alcohol and drugs appear to have played a role in the incident. TMZ Sports, citing Vancouver Police, reported that the woman was escorted from the Grey Cup venue, arrested, and later taken to a hospital for treatment related to drug and/or alcohol consumption.

That might explain the tumble she took during her brief moment of glory.

Fortunately for the fan, who was all smiles on the field, police have no plans to pursue criminal charges.

They certainly could have, though, as per the long list of guest policies on BC Place’s website, which states the following:

“If at any time a guest is deemed to be impaired by alcohol or drugs, the guest will be evicted or denied entry, and may be referred to the relevant authorities.”

There’s also the part about unacceptable behaviour that includes “mischief which interferes with the experience of other guests or leads to disruption of the event (i.e. misuse of personal items, throwing of objects, trespassing in restricted areas).”

Daily Hive has reached out to BC Place for further information on the reported ban.

Still, with the Lions in need of some excitement after a mediocre season, maybe she’ll be welcomed back, serving as a distraction for visiting teams.
