Good news for Edmonton’s pizza fans: one of Calgary’s most popular chains has just opened its first YEG outpost.
Edmontonians will no longer have to drive three hours to get their hands on dishes from UNA Pizza + Wine, as the well-known pizza joint has just opened in South Edmonton Common.
UNA, which first opened in Calgary in 2010, offers a huge selection of California-inspired pies. Diners in Edmonton will be treated to a wide range of dishes from arancini and house-made whipped ricotta with truffle honey to rigatoni all beef bolognese and kale Caesar salad.
Of course, the pies are the main event with crowd-pleasers such as The Local with smoked bacon and fennel sausage, smoked mozzarella and maple syrup, or the 4-Maggi with provolone piccante, mozzarella, fior di latte, pecorino romano, and truffle honey.
The spot also offers a selection of hand-picked wines.
