Luminaria, a classic holiday event, is returning to Edmonton next month at the University of Alberta Botanic Garden after a hiatus last season.
Enjoy candlelit pathways, light displays, and warm fires around which to sip on a warm cup of apple cider.
The event will be held across three weekends in December and will be open from 5 to 10 pm, with the last entry at 9:30 pm.
Tickets are on sale for garden year-round members only and can be found here.
If any tickets remain after the year-round member presale, they will be available to purchase as early as November 25.
The event usually sells out fast, so those hoping to enjoy the experience will want to act quickly to secure their spots.
It’s suggested you arrive within the entry time you have reserved. Once you arrive, you’re welcome to stay as long as you wish, with the event adding that most people spend between one and 1.5 hours.
Luminaria says that due to it being an outdoor event, tickets are not refundable, and if the weather is cold, they recommend that you dress warmly, enjoy the hot cider, and warm up by the fire.
However, if Environment Canada issues a severe weather warning or the temperature drops below a certain threshold, they may cancel the evening’s activities.
In that case, they will post information on their website and notify ticket holders by email.
