It’s shaping up to be a cold couple of days for some spots in Alberta, with wind chill values approaching the -40°C mark.
Some wicked cold is set to hug Alberta over the next couple of days, with some spots in northern parts of the province really getting whacked when it comes to wind chill.
According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), High Level is forecast to experience a low of -30°C tonight, with a wind chill of -28°C this evening and -38°C overnight, with the risk of frostbite at play.
For the residents of High Level, tomorrow morning is looking even worse, with a wind chill of -39°C in the morning and -32°C in the afternoon, along with the risk of frostbite. Brrr!
Other spots in the province that are forecast to have wind chill values below the -30°C mark tonight/tomorrow morning include Peace River with a wind chill of -33°C overnight, Fort McMurray with a wind chill of -32°C overnight, and Slave Lake with a wind chill of -32°C for tomorrow morning.
