Edmonton’s going back into a deep freeze with a temp swing of 18 degrees

After a little bit of welcome relief from brutally cold temperatures, you may want to break out the parka again, as Edmonton is set to see some frosty weather in the coming days.

According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), Edmonton is set to see some fairly frosty weather soon, with bone-chilling overnight lows.

Today’s high is forecast to be -4°C with a chance of flurries. The temperature will then dip to an overnight low of -8°C tonight.

Things will look fairly similar in YEG tomorrow, with a daytime high of -4°C and an overnight low of -11°C. Daytime highs will warm slightly for Saturday and Sunday before things take a dip early next week.

Looking ahead, temperatures begin to take a tumble with Monday’s high forecast to reach just -12°C, and overnight, it will be frosty with a low of -20°C.

When you do the math between Saturday’s high and Monday’s overnight low, that’s a temperature swing of 18 degrees. It’s time to bundle up!
