Chick-fil-A is opening its second Edmonton location next week

Just a few short months after opening its first YEG outpost at West Edmonton Mall, Chick-fil-A is gearing up to open doors at its second location in the city.

Chick-fil-A will open its new standalone location at South Edmonton Common on Thursday, November 21, with dine-in and drive-thru options.

The new spot is locally owned and operated by Tom Messick and will employ up to 120 full and part-time team members.

Chick-fil-A will be opening from 10:30 am to 10 pm Monday through Saturday.

The new location is part of the Georgia-based chain’s rapid expansion in Alberta. By 2030, the company aims to open 20 locations in the province.

In addition to WEM and South Edmonton Common, two other YEG Chick-fil-A outposts have been confirmed at Sunwapta Shopping Centre and The Meadows. Both outposts are slated to open in 2025.

The new Edmonton outpost opens just in time for Chick-fil-A’s holiday drop, which includes treats such as the Peppermint Chip Milkshake, Peppermint Iced Coffee, Frosted Peppermint Coffee and the Icedream dessert with peppermint bark chips.

Address: 2060 – 99th Street NW, Edmonton
