If you find yourself finishing your bucket of popcorn and drink before a movie starts, there’s a simple hack to get you free refills at Landmark Cinemas locations across Canada.
While Cineplex announced its permanent free refill deal last week, Landmark has quietly been doing the same with its membership program.
The movie chain has a loyalty club called Landmark Extras, which offers moviegoers many sweet perks and allows them to earn points on every dollar spent. The points can then be redeemed for tickets and at concession.
The program has three tiers: Movie Fan, Movie Insider, and Movie Club.
Landmark Cinemas
While the Movie Fan program is Landmark’s most basic plan, it’s free to join and includes free refills on large popcorn orders and large fountain drinks.
Aside from not having to worry about running out of snacks during the show, the Movie Fan tier also promises members exclusive offers, screenings, and advanced tickets for select films.
The Movie Insider and Movie Club programs also include free refills, but due to the additional perks, they require a membership fee.

The chain has been investing in its overall moviegoing experience for customers. In 2022, it announced its expanded Premiere Seating experience, which includes heated recliner seats with power-adjusted headrests.
It also introduced ScreenX at some locations, which it says is the world’s first multi-projection cinema. It features an immersive 270° panoramic experience that surrounds viewers with visuals that extend beyond the front screen.
For folks with sensory needs, Landmark Cinemas also offers special sensory viewing hours, which include raised house lights, and lowered volume, and allows guests to bring their personal snack items. More information can be found here.
