The biggest star in Canadian soccer appears to have signed a lifelong deal.
On the first day of 2025, Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies shared the news of his engagement to his girlfriend Sheyenne on his Instagram feed.
While she wasn’t tagged, and neither person’s face was in the picture, Davies’ partner also posted the same image to her Instagram page as part of a year-end photo dump.
German news outlet BILD reported that the engagement took place in Dubai. The pair visited the United Arab Emirates during a holiday break in the Bundesliga schedule.
Her Instagram feed describes her as a singer and interior architecture student.
Despite Davies being quite active in the public eye and on social media, the couple is pretty closeted about much of their private life. Neither has a single photo together on their Instagram page that shows their respective faces, and it appears that they don’t even follow each other on the platform.
The pair first appeared in a TikTok together while carving pumpkins in October 2022, so it seems they’ve been going strong for at least a little over two years.
Outside of Davies’ season with Bayern, he also has a fairly big match for Canada in the next few months. On March 20, the Canadian national side will be taking on Mexico in the CONCACAF Nations League semifinal in Los Angeles at SoFi Stadium, which is the first scheduled match of the year for the country.
