A national park near the AB/BC border named a top travel spot for 2025

It’s a gem nestled in the Rockies along the Alberta/BC border, and Yoho National Park has just been named a top travel destination for 2025.

Travel Lemming rounded up the 50 best places to travel to in 2025, and Yoho cracked the top 10 landing at #4.

The online travel guide called Yoho National Park in southeastern British Columbia “the more serene answer to nearby Banff” thanks to its turquoise glacial lakes, cozy chalets, thunderous waterfalls, and dense forests.

If you are busily game-planning a Yoho National Park trip for 2025, Travel Lemming also suggested visiting in the summer to enjoy all of its lakes but added that visiting in the winter can also be a total winter wonderland treat.

We highly suggest a visit to Emerald Lake, Wapta Falls, Takakkaw Falls, and the Village of Field. Try and get to your first destination as early as you can — parking lots sure fill up fast!

Yoho National Park is approximately a two-hour drive from Calgary, a little over a four-and-a-half-hour drive from Edmonton, and about an eight-hour drive from Vancouver.
