Edmonton police have released footage from two shootings from earlier this year that they believe are connected.
The first happened at about 7:45 p.m. at the Riverview Crossing Shopping Centre on 118 Avenue near 34 Street.
A man was shot at multiple times by a group of people who fled the area in two cars, police said. He was seriously hurt and several bullets hit nearby homes.
The second shooting happened at about 4 a.m. on April 6.
Three people approached a home near 46 Street and 120 Avenue and fired at least 12 bullets into it, police said. They then ran away. No injuries were reported.
Video of both shootings can be found on the Edmonton Police Service website.
“We believe these shootings are targeted and related,” said Acting Staff Sgt. Marc Goudreau.
“We are thankful that there were no life-threatening injuries related to these events and remain hopeful residents in the area may have information that helps us find those responsible.”
