Rescue crews are on the scene of a person “involved in a collapsed trench” in the Duffield area, Parkland County Fire Services told CTV News Edmonton on Friday afternoon.
A statement from them said Edmonton Fire Rescue Service’s Technical Rescue Team is giving mutual aid support at the rural property. RCMP and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety are also at the scene.
The hamlet of Duffield is about 50 kilometres west of Edmonton and five kilometres south of Highway 16.
