Oilers Entertainment Group (OEG) just made planning New Year’s Eve easy for country music and hockey fans.
OEG Sports and Entertainment are hosting a New Year’s Eve party at Ice District with Canadian country music singer Jade Eagleson headlining the event.
Oilers fans can start their Dec. 31 evening off by heading to Ice District Plaza for a 6 p.m. watch party where the Edmonton Oilers will take on the Utah Hockey Club for the first time on home ice.
Guests can expect the usuals at a watch party including food, drinks, a live DJ spinning tracks, the game on the big screen, outdoor heaters for comfort and prizes to boot.
After the game, Ice District will convert to a New Year’s Eve party featuring musical performances by Canadian country star Dawson Gray and multi-platinum country artist Jade Eagleson, complete with giant screens to watch the shows and fireworks to ring in the new year.
The event is free to attend, although space is limited. Fans are encouraged to come early.
Last year, more than 4,000 people came to Ice District Plaza to celebrate the new year.
