Multiple charges laid in stabbing at central Alberta auto shop

A man has been charged after a stabbing at a Red Deer auto shop.

Mounties say three people were attacked at the Jiffy Lube on 22 Street at 12:14 p.m. on Sunday.

Employees were able to restrain the attacker, who was taken into custody.

One person was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries from a stabbing.

A 33-year-old Blackfalds man described by police as a former associate of one of the employees is facing multiple charges, including aggravated assault, assault, three counts of uttering threats and multiple weapons offences.

The accused was also under a court order not to go to the Jiffy Lube.

He is due to appear in court on Tuesday.
