Charges have been laid against a man in connection with a multi-vehicle crash that closed down 178 Street in west Edmonton on New Year’s Eve.
At the scene, it appeared at least three vehicles were involved: a truck, an SUV and a Purolator delivery van.
The crash closed down the street in both directions, as well as multiple lanes of Stony Plain Road, for several hours.
On Thursday, police said a 29-year-old man had been charged with 11 offences related to the crash, including criminal flight, dangerous driving, possession of stolen property and possession of a firearm.
Police did not give any other details on the crash or the events surrounding it.
