Alberta RCMP says an investigation into child abuse allegations has led to charges against a second woman.
Mounties say following the arrest of 43-year-old Sherina Maria Handsor on April 8, five new victims have come forward and have reported historical child abuse.

RCMP says the newly reported incidents allegedly happened while in Handsor’s care in Whitecourt and Quesnel, BC. RCMP say they also identified two additional victims, for a combined total of seven.
Mounties say Handsor is facing an additional 13 charges, which include failure to provide necessities of life, assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, assault, and administrating a noxious substance.
She is expected to appear in court on May 1, in Stoney Plain, Alta.
Police have also charged 45-year-old Nicole Kathleen Barrett with four offences, including failure to provide necessities of life and assault. Barrett is expected to appear in court on May 28 in Whitecourt, Alta.
