Edmonton police say a 40-year-old man wanted in connection to several break-and-enters and thefts in and around Edmonton is now in custody.
Police say Mark Muise, of Edmonton, allegedly committed several crimes at sporting stores in Edmonton, St. Albert, Strathcona County, and Kitscoty, between March and May of 2024 and is wanted on 62 warrants.
Police say during this time, Muise was bound by a release order issued by EPS for firearms prohibitions, a probation order, and a release order by RCMP.
EPS says it’s been able to identify Muise through CCTV footage captured during several of the alleged thefts.
On June 4, officers were able to locate Muise in a home near 110 Street and 111 Avenue and were able to take him into custody.
He is now facing dozens of theft-related charges and will remain in custody until he appears in court on June 7.
