Man wanted for drug trafficking facing charges: Edmonton police

Edmonton police say a 45-year-old man is facing 13 charges in relation to a drug trafficking investigation.

EPS says on June 18, officers were able to locate Troy Edwin Kaurin, who was wanted on arrest warrants for drug trafficking, at a hotel in Edmonton.

Officers were able to take him into custody.

During the arrest, officers found and seized additional drugs and cash, including:

  • 2 handguns
  • 559 grams of methamphetamine (street value of $5,590)
  • 106 grams of fentanyl (street value of $25,000)
  • 3.8 grams of crack cocaine (street value of $180)
  • 9 grams of a buffing agent
  • $6,560 in Canadian currency

Police say Kaurin was wanted for 28 warrants after officers seized over $919,000 in drugs on June 13 at a home near 119 Avenue and 70 Street.

In addition to the 28 warrants, Kaurin is now facing 13 new drug trafficking, stolen property, and firearm-related charges.
