A man who was shot by Edmonton police for pointing a replica gun at a transit bus on Wednesday died in a city hospital on Thursday.
The incident occurred at Whyte Avenue and 93 Street on Tuesday, where police were responding to a weapons report.

Police observed the suspect pointing what appeared to be a gun at a transit bus. A confrontation then took place, and an officer discharged their firearm, striking the man.
The police had earlier stated that the man was in stable condition, after they provided first aid.
Police say a replica handgun was recovered from the scene. The Alberta Serious Incident Response Team (ASIRT) is investigating.
