Man charged in connection to Sherwood Park storage yard shooting

Alberta RCMP says a 53-year-old man has been charged after shooting a gun at a storage yard in Sherwood Park.

Mounties say on July 21, they received a report that a man had fired a gun within a storage yard following a confrontation.

It is believed that following the confrontation between two men, one of them pulled out a gun and fired multiple rounds, however, no one was injured.

Through an investigation, police have taken 53-year-old Marc McGill of Sherwood Park into custody.

McGill has since been charged with careless use of a firearm, possession of a restricted firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and discharging a firearm with intent.

He is expected to appear in court on July 31.
