Homicide investigation underway after body found on O’Chiese First Nation: RCMP

Alberta RCMP say a homicide investigation is underway after a young man from O’Chiese First Nation was found dead in a field on Aug. 30.

Mounties were called to the First Nation, about 65 kilometres northwest of Rocky Mountain House, after receiving a report of a body in a field.

Officers arrived to find a 21-year-old man with injuries who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have confirmed the death is a homicide after the body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
