Police say a 23-year-old man from Leduc is facing more than a dozen drug and gun charges after a large seizure at multiple locations in central Alberta.
The Edmonton Police Service’s EDGE unit (Edmonton Drug and Gang Enforcement) says it executed search warrants at a home in Leduc, storage facilities in Edmonton and Calmar, and two vehicles.
Police say they seized 15 kg of cocaine, nearly 11 kg of MDMA, 270 tabs of LSD, 21 grams of methamphetamine, 863 oxycodone pills, and six kg of the buffing agent phenacetin.
Police estimate the street value of the drugs at $1.5 million, calling it a “significant drug seizure.”
Five firearms, almost $80,000 in cash and a vehicle “with a sophisticated hidden compartment” were also seized, according to EPS.
Police say the investigation began last October.
Jeremy Manuel was charged with 10 counts of drug-trafficking-related offences, two counts of possession of the proceeds of crime, and unsafe storage of a firearm.
