Edmonton police lay charges in connection to 15-year-old’s death

Edmonton police say charges have been laid in connection to the death of a 15-year-old boy on Tuesday.

EPS says around 9:30 p.m. on May 21, officers responded to a report of an injured teen near 137 Avenue and 184 Street.

Paramedics tried to save the injured 15-year-old, but he died at the scene from his injuries.

It is believed at the time of the incident, the teen had been walking his dog when he was attacked.

Police took a man into custody who was known to the boy prior to the incident.

Police have since charged 40-year-old Keith James Landry with second-degree murder.

EPS say they are not releasing the name of the 15-year-old who was killed.
