Three people were assessed by medical crews on scene after an apartment fire in Edmonton’s Elmwood neighbourhood on Thursday morning.
Firefighters on scene tell CityNews the people assessed were not injured from the fire itself.
Emergency personnel responded to the fire at the multi-residential building around 8:45 a.m. They say the bulk of the blaze was knocked down within 15 minutes, and it was declared under control by 10:27 a.m.
One apartment was damaged; the fire captain on scene credited his teams’ work in hitting the corner of the building to stop the blaze from spreading to multiple units.
