Paul Bissonnette sent to hospital after six men attacked him

Paul Bissonnette, also known as BizNasty, was hospitalized after being attacked by six men on Sunday night in Arizona.

A spokesperson with the Scottsdale Police Department confirmed to Daily Hive that the popular hockey analyst was the victim of an assault.

“There was an altercation inside the restaurant with six adult men and the management,” said Scottsdale Police department sergeant Allison Sempsis. “Reportedly, Paul Bissonnette tried to help management calm the men and get them to leave. The situation escalated to the men assaulting Paul Bissonnette both inside and outside of the restaurant.”

“Police units responded quickly after it was reported and, after a thorough investigation, arrested six men for their involvement. EMS was called to the scene to evaluate Paul’s injuries from the assault, and he was transported to the hospital for further evaluation.”

The spokesperson refused to comment on the nature of the 39-year-old’s injuries except to say that they were “believed to be non-life-threatening.”

The six suspects have been arrested and booked and now face charges for assault and disorderly conduct.

Bissonnette is one of the largest personalities in the hockey media industry. He is a co-host of the popular Spittin’ Chiclets podcast and is also an on-air personality for NHL on TNT alongside Wayne Gretzky and others.
