If you’re on the hunt for a new job in Edmonton, two local companies just made it on the list of Canada’s Top 100 Employers.
Mediacorp recently released its list of Canada’s top 100 employers for 2025, and Edmonton-based PCL Construction and Alberta Blue Cross made it onto the prestigious list.
Editors review employers on eight criteria: work environment, work atmosphere and communications, financial benefits and compensation, health and family-friendly benefits, vacation and personal time off, employee engagement and performance, training and skills development, and community involvement.
PCL Construction was selected for various reasons, including supporting employees’ growth and well-being, from retirement planning services to extensive learning opportunities and a free fitness centre.
“PCL Construction provides a variety of learning opportunities for employees at various stages of development, including the recently relaunched PCL College of Construction,” Canada’s Top 100 Employers wrote.
The construction company was also named one of Alberta’s Top 75 Employers and one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers for young people last year.
Alberta Blue Cross was selected for its enhanced family-friendly benefits, in-house health and wellness programming, support of hybrid work options, and monthly work and parking allowance to offset the costs of working from home or travelling to work.
So, there you have it! Detailed reasons for each selection can be found on Mediacorp’s site here.
