Moviegoers will now be able to enjoy even more popcorn and soda at Cineplex theatres because the chain has announced its new refill program.
According to Cineplex, guests will be able to get a free refill when they purchase a large popcorn or large fountain drink.
There’s no special promotion or membership needed and it is open to all Cineplex guests.
“A big part of enjoying a movie on the big screen are the snacks, so by offering our guests a free refill on their large popcorn and fountain drink, we ensure their favourite movie snack and drink doesn’t run out and more can even be enjoyed on the way home,” said Kevin Watts, executive vice president of Cineplex, in a release.

Moviegoers can upgrade to a large popcorn or fountain drink via the Cineplex mobile app or by ordering at the concession counter. They’ll be eligible for one refill on the same day and for the same visit. If a guest purchases one large drink and one large popcorn, they can get refills on both.
The offer can’t be applied to delivery orders.
In September, Cineplex confirmed that its theatres would be getting some upgrades in the near future.
The National Association of Theatre Owners (NATO) said eight of the largest theatre chains in the US and Canada — including Cineplex — would be investing millions to “modernize and upgrade” their locations over the next three years.
At the time, Cineplex told Daily Hive that its upgrades would be connected to “the collective investment into the exhibition industry and guest experience.”
