Canadian lottery player calm after netting even BIGGER second win in three years

A lottery player in Alberta says he is calm and focused after netting his second major win in just a few years.

Calgary resident Osman Adam told the Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC) that he felt calm and collected when he saw the amount — a cool $5 million on the October 9 Lotto 6/49 Classic draw.

“I might have been because I had to count the zeroes a few times,” he told the WCLC, but he’s no stranger to big winnings.

Adam took home a $1 million Lotto Max prize in May 2021, which he used to buy a house and a vehicle, both of which he’s still happy with today.

“I look at it like: I just bought a new vehicle [when I won] last time,” he laughed while telling the WCLC. “I liked it three years ago, and I don’t want a new one now.”

The Calgary local said he has a few ideas for his most recent windfall.

“I’d like to look into investing,” he said. “Real estate, stocks, and bonds, that sort of thing. I’m feeling very focused this time around.”

Adam mentioned a vacation to visit family might also be in his future.

“I’m looking into taking a trip across the pond to visit some family,” he said.

Adam purchased his winning Lotto 6/49 ticket from the 7-Eleven at 5300 17th Avenue SE in Calgary. He won his $5 million prize by matching the Classic draw numbers drawn on October 9 – 20, 22, 23, 36, 46 and 47.
