Canadian lottery player shocked by even BIGGER second win in eight years

One Canadian lottery player has joined the list of multi-time winners after discovering he won for the second time—this time, with an even bigger prize.

Neil Carter is a now retired father of three who lives in Keswick, Ontario. Winning isn’t anything new for this lottery player: after playing an Instant Scrabble ticket eight years ago, he won a $15,000 prize.

In October, Carter purchased a Lottario ticket and wanted to know the results after the October 5, 2024, draw.

“I was at home when I decided to check my ticket on the OLG app,” he recalled. “I must have scanned my ticket seven times to make sure I wasn’t seeing things! I was in pure disbelief.”

Carter discovered that he and another lottery player had matched the winning numbers 11, 24, 33, 34, 36, and 38. With the top prize split evenly, Carter instantly became $357,982.50 richer.

When he discovered the happy news, he said, “I shared the news with close family, and everyone was beyond thrilled for me.”

While at the OLG Prize Centre in downtown Toronto, Carter said he’ll share his winnings with his children and grandchildren. The money will also go towards saving up for a new home.

“This win is still hard to believe. It came as a shock — a great shock!” Neil said. “I’m so happy and grateful. I can’t stop smiling!”

Several lottery players have beat the odds by winning more than once, including Franco StirpeRichard AndersonOlympia Richards, and Anthony Vento, who won for the third time.

The winning ticket was purchased at Pinky’s Variety on Woodbine Avenue in Keswick.
