The Edmonton Oilers are searching for their first three-game winning streak of the season tonight as the New Jersey Devils are in town.
After narrowly escaping Calgary with a 4-2 victory on Sunday night, the Oilers will be looking to stay perfect without captain Connor McDavid in the lineup. It’ll be their harshest test as the Devils are a team that is looking to do damage in the playoffs this season.
With that, it appears that Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch has shifted around his lineup a bit with a few moves on both the forward and defensive groups.
These lines were based on ones reported on the Oilers’ official website.

Drake Caggiula will find himself in the press box after playing in the last two games since he was called up. He managed to score one assist in that span. Veteran Derek Ryan will draw back into the lineup after being a healthy scratch the last two. It appears he will move to the wing on the team’s fourth line alongside Noah Philp and Corey Perry.
Travis Dermott will also sit out tonight in favour of Troy Stecher, who will play on the Oilers’ second pairing alongside Darnell Nurse. Neither player has really gained a firm hold on that spot in the lineup, so it appears an open competition between the two is still ongoing.
Between the pipes, Calvin Pickard will get his fifth start of the season against the Devils. The 32-year-old is coming off an impressive 5-1 win over the Nashville Predators where he put up a .963 save percentage. He is a perfect 4-0-0 in four career starts against the Devils.
Gametime is set for 6 pm MT and will be streamed on Amazon Prime.
