Police say a suspect has been arrested in connection with a drive-by shooting in northeast Edmonton earlier this year believed to be linked to an extortion scheme.
The Edmonton Police Service says nobody was injured in the Jan. 10 shooting at a home occupied by a family with children in the Cy Becker neighbourhood.
Bullets were found inside the home, according to police.
The firearms investigation unit (FIU) is working to locate the gun used in the shooting. The suspect vehicle has been identified, police say.
FIU executed search warrants and made an arrest in the case on April 24.

Police say it was the second time the home was targeted in connection to a series of extortions aimed at South Asian businesses.
The extortions – which are also connected to arsons and drive-by shootings – are being investigated by “Project Gaslight,” a joint effort between EPS, the Surrey RCMP, and Peel Regional Police.
